Quick actions help you explain, translate, rewrite, and summarize text directly in your browser without losing context.

Quick Summary

Use quick actions after selecting text on any page.
For editable fields, output can be replaced automatically or manually depending on your settings.
Use Add to chat when you need multi-step assistance.
Quick action requests and answers are saved in your Writing Assistant session, and the side panel shows them right away without touching what you are typing.

Rewrite text with a specific tone (formal, casual, technical, friendly, professional, concise).

In inputs, textareas, and editable editors, quick action output can be used as replacement text.

On static text blocks, quick actions return processed content without direct in-place replacement.

1. Select text on any webpage.
2. Click the chat action in the selection toolbar.
3. The selected text is inserted into your chat draft so you can continue with custom prompts.
